Her background includes work as Communications Director in Congress, Anchor, Reporter, Producer, and talk show Host. In 2012, she won a NYSBA award for Best Spot News, and was selected as YWCA Outstanding Woman of the Year in Arts & Communications. In 2004, she was recognized by the 108th U.S. Congress for her outstanding service to the 25th Congressional District of Texas.
